Fresh from my good showing at woking weirdboyz, I approached the GT in good spirits and my dark elder working pretty well. So how did I do?
All levels of megh… but I’ll get onto that in a bit.
The GT took over from the GW run event a while ago and has been going on ever since. It copies GW in that it’s a heat to final form and we went to Heat 2 held in Brighton.

Dark Mechanicus in 6th (Painting update The Dark Mechanic Arrives)
So with the exception of completing all the basing the army for Brighton is complete. I waited until the end to do the model for the Dark Mechanic himself. I wanted to give myself a treat at the end of finishing painting zombie Necron warriors and other units. For the back story i wanted to use one of the Dark Mechanicum Characters that is on the warhammer 40k wiki, and then bring him to life. The character Phayzarus caught my imagination with his hatred of Space marines and the idea he has rebuild his body completely to be a regenerating construct of flesh and steel. Below I have put his history. I found this and a lot of my other info on the Dark Mechanicus on this site http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Mechanicus.

Dark Eldar: The Next Step
Dark Eldar: The Next StepSo after a relatively mixed tourney 2 weekends ago and having just watched my favourite grand prix driver get his first ever podium (GO KOBYASHI!!!) I’ll move onto talking about the changes to my list
for Brighton GT.
A little background to the tourney is that the Brighton warlords normally hold 3 tournaments a year
and, as its no restrictions, was a logical step to hold the 2nd of the 3 GT heats here. It’s held above a
pub which is great however irritatingly Brighton is pretty pricey for accommodation so no nights out!
There’s a car park opposite and it is very easily accessible. This is the first Major tournament of 6 th
for us and so with a little bit of trepidation it’s time we present my army list!
It’s important to note by the way that the meta up north seems to represent a major shift towards
infantry with guard allying with a battle brother. I have mixed feelings about this but I’ll get into that
later. But now…. Onto the show!
