List-Fu: 1650pts SW+IG+INQ for GT Final

http://www.coolminiornot.com/299894?browseid=8070613
CMON, Beamo (GW)

I thought I'd put up the list that I'm working on for the 40k GT finals in March. This list has developed from the thinking behind this post and the following discussions on Total Immersion and at the club, so thanks to everyone who contributed their thoughts (Coyote, hornywingythingy and Jamie in particular).
As usual, this is intended to be a take-on-all-comers list but it is worth nothing that this list has not been designed to deal with Lords of War, S:D weapons or AV15, as these have been banned from the final.

40kGT Heat 2

Last weekend I attended my second tournament of the year, Heat 2 of the 40kGT in Brighton. Having managed to place in the top ten in July at another tournament at Brighton I was hoping that my refined list would help me into the top half to qualify for the national finals in March. I'll leave it to the other DoG guys to fill you in on how they did, but let's just say one of us did very well!

A New Challenger Approaches...

Hi everyone, Sentinel here from Total Immersion Wargaming (aka Mike Terry). Having played some great games against Mike and Steve at the recent Brighton Singles Tournament and met the other guys too, Mike asked if I'd be interested in contributing to the Death or Glory blog. As you've already guessed, I said yes!

I'm interested in competitive 40k, and really enjoy reading and writing about strategy and the concepts behind the game. I like to think about things like playstyle, the risks of netlisting, analyzing the pros and cons of comp in competitive tournaments and a whole bunch of other topics along these lines.

Tournament Gamers Painting Masterclass 8: Andrew Taylor – Traitor Guard

Tournament Gamers Painting Masterclass 8: Andrew Taylor – Traitor Guard

The final painter who placed in heat three is Andrew Taylor. Now I really dislike guard. Mainly because im dark eldar (check my nemesis article!). But also because they allways seem… well…. Boring to look at? Andrew Taylor however has turned his guard into some beautiful (and a little disturbing) piece of art and has turned them to Chaos. Infact Andrew won the painting competition with these guys. So without further ado this is Andy and this is his story.

Dark Eldar: Nemesis part 1 – Imperial Guard

Dark Eldar: Nemesis part 1 – Imperial Guard

So let’s face it Dark Eldar had some of the more extreme match ups in 40k ranging from the slaughter fest that was tyranids and then the white flag waving games against imperial guard. So I thought I’d go into these matchups and see whats changed. Is the same nemesis facing me across the battlefield? Or have new armies come to the fore?

I’m gunna have a look at the ultimate anti dark eldar army, imperial guard….. So what’s changed?
