Chaos! A team of Claws and tentacles!

In the fantasy of Blood bowl, every faction of the old and new worlds gave up war. Orcs and dwarves fought on the blood bowl pitch rather than on battlefields. What’s more Nuffle became the greatest religion.

The chaos armies and the chaos gods also became obsessed with blood bowl. That is essentially why the reality wasn’t destroyed by chaos. As ridiculous as this alternate Warhammer reality is Chaos are a great team and has 3 variants and as time goes on id imagine Games workshop will add more.

However, all these teams are difficult to use and are low tiered teams well why is this?

Orcs and Humans

I thought I’d start my team reviews with the 2 teams in the box set as these will probably be the most used teams.

Ill mention ways of playing during this so ill briefly outline these below then ill crack on.

Caging – Surrounding the ball with players and marching down the pitch.

Running game – no passing or catching just picking up the ball and running through the opponent

Passing game – Getting players into the opposing team’s half then throwing that killer pass to score.

These aren’t the only tactics but there the three main ones. They mix and match, an orc can run down one side of the pitch in a cage then break from the cage and throw the ball to the other side of the pitch for example.

So without further ado….

Blood Bowl! - A beginners guide to teams! Part 1 The tier system

I'm back

Hey Everyone!

It's been a while i know three years almost to the day when i gave up on Warhammer 40k.

When you have been so into a hobby for ages and you get out its really difficult to motivate yourself to get into the hobby again as its difficult to get myself back to the same sort of level i was at and the huge amount of time i put into it.

As such despite games workshop getting their act together i doubt ill ever be able to get myself into 40k again (Although i'm following all the model releases!).

A game however I've never lost interest in was bloodbowl. How a game that was barely supported for 10 years has stayed so popular plays to the games strength. I've played this game on and off for a good 16 years and now it's once again being supported (Good on you GW) i thought it would be a great time to get back blogging.

Starting out with UCM

Well it's been a long time...

Hi all, it's been too long, I've not been up to any significant hobby for months maybe even years now but the little geek inside never leaves you. So when Steve asked if any of us were interested in trying out dropzone I jumped at the chance. I went straight out and bought the boxed game. As Steve mentioned in his last post I will be playing UCM...

Some of you may be asking what prompted the return? And the answer is simple:

End of an era

This time 6 months ago I was running, with my fellow DOG team mates, a successful 76 man tournament. Yesterday I found myself putting my entire collection onto eBay. This was a moment of great sadness. Not because I was selling my collection, but because I didn’t overly care that I was selling my collection. How has it come to this? I have been playing 40k for 16 years why now?
