The Wonderful World of Fluff (Part 1)

Introductions

Good Morrow good followers of Death or Glory, where we have a newseries all about fluff. Whether this is a new or old concept for you, or even just the motivation you need to take your army to the next level.

On another note, one not utterly disimilar; not only would this be the beggining of a new series here or Death or Glory, but also a new writer. My name is Ads and it is my pleasure to be writing for you from here in Germany, however my home town is the murky town of croydon in south london.

What is the wonderful world of fluff?

For those if you who are unaware, fluff is the term we use in the 40k universe to talk about any kind of story or history concerning armies, characters or just about anything you could think of.
You will find fluff in your codexes, your rulebooks and in the shelves of the black library (Games Workshops best and most detailed source of fluff).

Why is it useful?

Fluff is what gives our armies, characters and even our games meaning, without a story and a history our games are just that, games. But with a rich fluff our games become epic battles between 4000 points worth of interesting and colourful characters.
It also allows us to think more clearly when choosing paint schemes, converting miniatures and forming army lists.

How can I create a good strong fluff?

Well, in short, you will see. Hopefully you will find the following series useful, informative and enjoyable!

Thank you for reading,

P.S. Why not think about a project (maybe a character on your army for instance?) that you could start a project on? That way we could work together to create that project as the weeks go by. I will be showing you guys how i'm doing with the fluff for my Mercenary army throughout the series.
I'd love to hear what kind of things you guys are thinking about doing down in the comment section below. Till next time.
