Woking Weirdboyz - Escalation Tournament List Analysis

Hello Everyone!

Today I thought I’d have a look at some of the ‘Super Heavy’ armies on display at the Woking Weirdboyz tournament. For escalation tournaments the make-up of all the armies really varies to a silly degree as there is no Meta.

As the first escalation event that runs as a swiss system, this is the first time these lists have surfaced!

Caledonian 2014 - Something a little different!

List is submitted and the draw has been done. Interesting looking at the lists that have been submitted, and as you can imagine there is a huge amount of Tau, Eldar and Daemons. The list below was sent out giving a breakdown of the lists (Bare in mind this is a 100+ person tournament);

91 Khymerae
89 Grav Weapons
57 Screamers
49 Riptides inc O'Vesa
46 Broadsides
38 Wave Serpents
30 Skyrays
21 Wraithknights
15 Heldrakes
14 Farsights
13 Coteaz
10 Stormravens
7 Fateweavers
5 Eldrads
5 Dooms

Although I had great success with my Eldar (winning GT Heat 2 etc) I wanted to try something that isn't being done by everyone so trying a new list out. Now I am following the trend to a degree and taking a Death Star, however I like to think it is slightly unique and horrendously unfluffy.

Eldar Autarch/ Corsair Prince

Hi all, this is my first post this year so Happy New Year. Anyway I'm continuing with my Eldar army, with the plan that it will get its first run out at DOG2 an appear at the gt final the week after. I've started work on a few models now but thought I would post this guy up as he's basically done.

It's quite a simple conversion with a cut down scourge head, wraithknight hand and a wraith blade body. I've decided to go back to my favoured manga style paint job for this army but with some of the things I learnt from doing my dark mechanicus used such as lighting effect. I wanted him to have a heavyer style of armour than my basic troop.
